STEM Chair 6-12 Qualifications · Los Angeles Leadership Academy employee · Teaching Credential · Knowledgeable of LALA policies and procedures · Proficient in implementation of technology · Effective Communication Skills · Satisfactory Evaluations Currently Teaching Math or Science Responsibilities • Support teachers with Math and Science Instructional Programs, approved curriculum and teaching strategies through class observations, demonstrated lessons and/or meetings; follow-up with constructive non-evaluative feedback. • Support new Math & Science teachers by holding at least one monthly meeting to review school-wide programs, expectations, teaching strategies and guide teachers to improve instruction. • Hold at least 2 meetings per semester to review data (CAASPP, CAST, iReady, NWEA, and Attendance) • Meet with Administration at least once a month • Maintain a folder (Google Drive) with evidence of work as a STEM Chair • Hold monthly meetings with Math and Science Teachers (at least 1 meeting a month) • Establish and maintain a trusting and supportive relationship with colleagues • Oversee the planning of the school-wide (6-12) Science Fair (Spring).
