About this RoleAmpacity is seeking an experienced Steel Planner to manage the planning, scheduling, and procurement of steel piles (I-beams) for our rapidly expanding solar foundation projects. As our pile solutions grow in complexity across multiple regions, this role will be critical in ensuring seamless coordination between steel mills, internal teams, and project sites. The Steel Planner will serve as the central point of contact for all steel planning activities, optimizing our supply chain to meet aggressive project timelines.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000
What You'll Do Develop and maintain production and delivery schedules for I-beams across multiple regions Collaborate directly with steel mills to confirm capacity, lead times, and production priorities Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize supply chain efficiency Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams to ensure material availability aligns with construction schedules Analyze market trends and mill capabilities to adjust planning strategies proactively Resolve scheduling conflicts and mitigate risks related to supply disruptions or delays Maintain accurate records of orders, schedules, and delivery timelines in company systems Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in steel procurement and planning This role will evolve over time.
