Job Title: Statutory Compliance Supervisor

Location: Beijing/Shanghai

Employment Type: Full-time

The job

This role owns China’s tax/audit core work: leading statutory audits/tax filings, preparing TP docs, driving R&D expense deductions, and handling new business (e.g., C4C) tax planning. It also supports subsidies, ensures multi-region tax compliance, and collaborates with global teams/authorities.
It’s critical—safeguards legal compliance, optimizes tax costs, and enables smooth business expansion in China.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead annual tax filing and work with local tax firms on tax issues and tax adjustments;

2. Work on China local TP documents each year;

3. Provide supporting to government for local subsidy application;

4. Support China R&D finance management and also lead R&D expense super deduction each year;

5. Lead all compliance related projects including internal control requirements, internal audit and etc.;

6. Lead local tax planning for new business such as C4C and resolve related compliance and tax issues;

7. Respond to account managers or partner managers on all kinds of tax related questions;

8. Work as tax business owner to develop and review business processes;

9. Keep collaboration with global stakeholders and local tax authorities;

10. Study and share different tax legislation in different places such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hongkong. Ensure compliance with different tax legislation;

11. Other ad-hoc assignments.

Essential requirements

1. Inhouse general ledger experience for more than 3 years

2. Inhouse tax advisor experience for more than 2 years

3. Big 4 audit or tax experience for more than 3 years

4. Success case in on tax advisory or tax planning

5. Bachelor or above degree in Accounting, Tax or Financial Management

Desired skills

1. Fluent written and oral English

2. Strong sensitivity to tax policy changes

3. Ambitious, curious, reliable

4. Software business exposure as a strong plus
