Our Global Finance Controllership Team provides support for the business in technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls. This is including process simplification and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis.
Role Summary: -
As a Statutory Analyst, you will be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis mainly on Statutory Reporting per Local Requirement.
Specific Responsibilities: -
The Statutory Analyst will be responsible for all the tasks and activities related to GFO with a strong focus on accounting entries and analysis.
Essential Responsibilities: -
Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc.Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services as well as develop elaborated proposals for changing processes and procedures assessing the impact on directly related processes/functions.Ability to communicate the broader picture to the team. Use of basic influencing skills to deliver on assigned goals, and able to work independently on daily tasks with minimal supervision.Handles department work guided by procedures. Exceptional cases are resolved by choosing the right procedure.Being the focal for assigned statutory audits between the BKR stakeholders and External Auditors as to work closely with External and Internal Auditors to assist in completion of all audits.Preparing the audit pack as well as audit schedules and full Financial Statements prior to submission to External Auditors.Working closely with business: Regional Stat Leaders, Legal, Tax, FP&A and other Functional Teams etc to ensure the audits are completed as per stipulated timeline.Contributes to centralized finance system (CFIN) project as a team member, and available for other duties as required.Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-
Years of experience: 3-5 yearsField of experience: Finance / Statutory Audit/ AccountingTechnical Skills: Financial analysis & reporting, Accounting Standards knowledge (IFRS / US & UK GAAP)Soft Skills: Critical thinking, Problem Solving and adaptabilityTools or Software (Required): SAP or Oracle, Excel, HFM, Blackline, ThoughtspotEducation Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.Preferred background or experience: Finance, Shared servicesWork in a way that works for you
