We currently have a “Career” opportunity for a Station Service Manager. As the Station Service Manager, you will provide operational management and support at the service center location to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery handling of customer materials and shipments. In addition, you will ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and DHL’s policies.
Key Responsibilities:Responsible for overall efficient and effective Service Center operations regarding pick-up and delivery personnel and servicesEnsures all material is picked up and delivered from/to all area accounts in accordance with DHL guidelines, customer expectations and government regulationsEnsures safe, efficient and timely handling and transportation of all customer materialsDevelops operations plans and budgets based on goals and objectivesWorks with sales management to promote sales growth by advising on customer activities and achieving specific customer call targetsMay manage, coach, and train sales representatives in smaller locationsMay ensure compliance with import/export regulations, duties, and tariffs in some marketsSupervises two or more staff; responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staffAssigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processesSkills & Qualifications:Typically requires BS/BA and 6-8 years’ experience in related field, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience or military leadership MOS experienceHas extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areasA thorough understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encounteredDevelops advanced concepts, techniques, and standardsDevelops new applications based on professional principles and theoriesViewed as expert in functional or business area within DHLDeals with cross-cultural tactical issuesProfessional certification required in some areasValid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Driving Privileges standardsMust be 18 years oldExcellent customer service skillsCandidate must pass pre-employment background, drug, and medical physical screeningPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) lbs occasionallyMust be able to lift forty (40) lbs frequentlyMust be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch repeatedlyEmployee Benefits & IncentivesDHL Express benefits and incentive offerings are designed to reflect a substantial experience for both employees and their dependents during their career and life journey.
