Lead static equipment/mechanical activities for a major offshore expansion project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., specifications, data sheets) fully comply with deliverables and standardized processes. Provide design support to the Engineering Manager, ensuring high-quality execution of all project elements.
Key AccountabilitiesEnsure that the contractor’s static equipment scope for topsides and onshore (offshore scope) facilities complies with contractual codes and standards.
Guide the contractor to promote technical compliance.
Plan and schedule static equipment engineering deliverables for efficient execution, ensuring technical alignment with project systems.
Participate in key design workshops (e.g., HAZOP, 3D model reviews).
Monitor contractor progress and delivery of static equipment documentation.
Coordinate with subject matter experts on topsides-related static equipment and manage technical deviation endorsements when needed.
Ensure adherence to change management procedures for design or specification deviations.
Lead and coordinate preservation and protection activities across sites.
Assist in preservation execution, system completion, and commissioning in line with scope, budget, and schedule.
Provide technical support across disciplines including engineering, QA, commissioning, SHE, planning, and operations.
Review and approve preservation documents and plans developed by contractors.
Ensure timely review and approval of contractor-submitted commissioning documents.
Review and mitigate commissioning and preservation risks and changes.
QualificationsDegree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
Experience10+ years in static equipment roles within major oil and gas project environments.
Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, safety codes, and offshore construction.
Experience in brownfield engineering and execution is essential.
