Purpose of the Role

BGIS is looking for a collaborative and experienced State Manager to support the delivery of facilities and asset management services across a portfolio of 11 hospitals throughout NSW and ACT. In this people-focused leadership role, you’ll work closely with General Managers, site teams, and internal stakeholders to promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the National Account Director, you'll lead a supportive team environment while ensuring high-quality service delivery and maintaining trusted relationships across all sites.

This position is well suited to a values-driven professional who enjoys coaching others, building partnerships, and contributing to impactful work in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Foster a positive team culture that values respect, accountability, and continuous development Support day-to-day service delivery across multiple hospital sites in NSW and ACT Maintain compliance, risk registers, and operational continuity plans Lead team performance to achieve service targets and contractual outcomes Collaborate with both client stakeholders and internal departments Travel across the region to maintain a strong on-the-ground presence and understanding of each site

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:

Experience in Facilities or Asset Management (5+ years) Background in team supervision or leadership Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong administrative capabilities, with confidence using ERP systems (e.g., Manhattan, BSAFE)

Desirable:

Trade background (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry) Experience in healthcare environments Familiarity with multi-site service delivery

Workplace Flexibility

This role is based at our Sydney World Square office with regular travel to hospital sites across NSW and ACT. A hybrid work arrangement is available depending on operational needs.
