Starbucks Manager
Position Overview

The Starbucks Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Starbucks department, ensuring exceptional beverage quality, outstanding customer service, and operational excellence. This role drives sales performance, develops a strong team, and ensures full compliance with company and Starbucks brand standards.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations Oversee daily Starbucks operations including beverage production and service Ensure all drinks and food items meet Starbucks quality and presentation standards Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked department Ensure proper execution of all Starbucks programs and procedures Team Leadership & Development Hire, train, and develop Starbucks baristas and leads Create schedules to support business needs and labor targets Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management Foster a positive, fast-paced, and customer-focused team environment Customer Service Deliver and model exceptional customer service standards Ensure speed of service and order accuracy Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally Build customer loyalty through consistent, high-quality experiences Sales & Financial Performance Drive department sales, profitability, and growth Manage labor, waste, and inventory costs Execute promotions, seasonal launches, and upselling strategies Monitor performance metrics and implement improvement plans Inventory & Product Management Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory levels Ensure product freshness, rotation, and proper storage Control shrink, waste, and out-of-stock conditions Maintain accurate pricing and signage Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Follow all Starbucks and company operational guidelines Maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers Ensure all required certifications and training are up to date Qualifications Previous food service, coffee, or retail management experience preferred Strong leadership and team development skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communication and customer service skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching (up to 50 lbs) Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Key Competencies Leadership & team development Customer focus Operational execution Attention to detail Time management & multitasking Career Path Opportunities Assistant Store Director Store Director Operations or Specialty Department Leadership
