Job Title: Stamping EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Stamping Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic automotive parts supplier based in Berea, KY. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and efficiency of stamping processes within our manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Maintain existing tools and equipment to acceptable quality standards. + Repair machine and equipment defects to ensure optimal operation. + Develop tooling layouts for stamping dies to enhance manufacturing processes. + Determine necessary equipment, materials, tooling, and methods to meet customer demand. + Troubleshoot stamping dies and presses to identify and resolve root causes of failures. + Collaborate with tooling engineers and quality departments to develop new and more efficient dies. + Create drawings and engineering documentation to improve manufacturing processes and product quality. Essential Skills + Proficiency in stamping and manufacturing engineering. + Strong knowledge of automotive, tool and die, CAD design, and stamping processes. + Ability to read blueprints and perform root cause analysis. + Experience in machine upkeep, stamping press, tooling design, and repair. + Familiarity with reliability engineering, precision measuring, and use of tools such as grinders, lathes, and overhead cranes. + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. + Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of stamping machines and dies including Progressive, Tandem, and Transfer Presses. + Competency in Inventor CAD program for minimal design work. Work Environment The work environment consists of 70% stamping-related projects, 20% tool and die related projects, and 10% tooling manufacturing and machine upkeep. You will work the first shift from 8 am to 5 pm, with no overnight calls. The setting is within an automotive manufacturing stamping facility, where the production floor can be loud due to running presses and requires PPE. The floor is not temperature controlled, while administrative and engineering offices are located at the front of the building. This position operates within a cross-functional team environment, fostering creativity and long-term employee engagement. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
