Job Title: Staffing Coordinator
Department: Nursing - Long Term Care
Location: DeMay Living Center - Newark, New York
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
SUMMARY:
The Staffing Coordinator-LTC is responsible for the scheduling of nursing staff within Long Term Care in addition to collaboration with Nursing Leadership to ensure effective coverage on each unit.
Scheduling
Efficient scheduling of nursing staff including Nursing Supervisors, Off Shift Directors, RNs, LPNs, C.N.As, Nursing Assistants and Unit Assistants.Responsible for the maintenance of an effective time off calendar within KRONOS.Electronic distribution of daily, after hours and weekend nursing schedules with high degree of accuracy.Staffing
Work collaboratively with DON or designee to assist in the determination of par levels, as well as participate in utilizing efficiency strategies for providing nursing coverage.
Coordinate staffing in collaboration with nursing leadership as needed for trainings and meetings.
Ensure tracking is completed for sick calls for RRH staff and Agency staff including the correct coding in KRONOS.
Payroll
Ensures accurate timecards within KRONOS on a daily basis. Time cards should be updated real time with changes to the schedule, call ins, etc.
Ensures accurate pay codes are entered into staff member’s KRONOS record.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years experience in staffing and/or scheduling required
