Contribute to Novant Health's mission of improving the health of communities, one person at a time, by providing high-quality imaging services. 🔍 What You’ll Do: Primary Responsibilities: + Staff Scheduling: Create, manage, and adjust employee schedules based on unit needs, staffing ratios, time-off requests, and last-minute callouts. + Shift Coverage: Identify and fill staffing gaps by coordinating float pools, calling in available staff, or arranging overtime as needed. + System Use: Utilize staffing software (e.g., Kronos, API, or other workforce management tools) to monitor attendance, scheduling, and labor management. + Collaboration: Work closely with nurse managers, charge nurses, and department leaders to understand staffing needs and support operational goals. + Communication: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding schedule-related questions, shift availability, and policy compliance. + Data & Reporting: Track staffing trends, prepare reports, and analyze data to assist in decision-making and ensure cost-effective labor use. Skills & Qualifications: + Strong organizational and multitasking skills + Proficiency with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office + Knowledge of healthcare staffing standards and regulations + Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment + Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities This position is essential to maintaining smooth operations and ensuring patient safety by making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time. 🎓 What We’re Looking For: + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Two years of college or secretarial science degree preferred. A combination of education and experience with advanced computer skills required, preferred. + Experience: Minimum of two years of office environment experience, required. Previous staffing experience. preferred. + Additional Skills Required: Demonstrates proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet skills, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to secure and maintain private and confidential information. Requires excellent ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff and ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Working knowledge of Time and staffing preferred (scheduler or staffer experience preferred). Must be detail oriented. Must have the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
