Staffing and Training Coordinator
We are seeking a dynamic Staffing and Training Coordinator to oversee staff scheduling and training within a continuing care retirement community. This role ensures optimal staffing coverage across all shifts, while supporting employee onboarding, training, and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will balance operational needs with employee availability, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and organizational goals. Hourly wage of $18 - $20 / hour, depending on experience Flexible Work Schedule Up to 22 days of PTO per year + Develop and maintain staffing schedules for Assisted Living and Health Center, ensuring adequate coverage. + Collaborate with the Administrator and DON to adjust staffing based on resident/patient census. + Monitor overtime, staffing levels, and ensure compliance with budgetary and state guidelines. + Coordinate scheduling and cross-training of PRN staff. + Facilitate departmental onboarding, ensuring new hires are properly trained and integrated. + Conduct check-ins with new employees to ensure understanding of policies and safety protocols. + Communicate staffing changes and training updates to ensure alignment across teams. + Ensure smooth transition of on-call duties during vacations or absences. Requirements + A high level of flexibility. + Knowledge in healthcare staffing and scheduling. + Experience with OnShift, preferred. + Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Experience in developing and delivering training programs is a plus. + Previous work in long-term care as a CNA is a plus.
