Location:   May be located in any Elevance Health PulsePoint office preferably in Chicago, IL.

This role requires associates to be in-office at least 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Summary

 The Staff VP of Implementation will lead the development and rollout of a scalable, high-performing implementation organization for a leading health insurance company. This role is responsible for ensuring the consistent, enterprise-wide execution of Local Group and National Account implementations—delivering a seamless onboarding experience for clients while meeting contractual, operational, and performance commitments. The Staff VP will set the strategic vision for implementation, build and mentor a multi-disciplinary, multi-state team, and establish best-in-class processes that drive efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

Build, scale, and lead a high-performing implementation team across multi-discipline and states.

Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Implementation Excellence

Oversee the end-to-end implementation process for new and renewal accounts, including new case installation, benefit plan setup, administration, membership, and billing.

Serves as a liaison between Implementation, Account Management , Sales , Sales Support, and Clients to ensure alignment and flawless execution. 

Ensure all deliverables - ID cards, Benefit Booklets, and enrollment processing, and premium billing – are completed accurately and on time.

Operational Oversight & Process Optimization

Directs the development and execution of management control processes to ensure client needs are meetand contractual obligations are attained or exceeded.

Establishes and enforce best practices, quality controls, and performance metrics for all implementation activities.

Oversee analysis of system capabilities, production support, and interface management to ensure operational readiness and scalability.

Client Engagement & Business Growth

Partner with Sales and Account Management to support finalist presentations, client meetings, and renewal discussions in the effort of securing business growth for the company.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinates communication and deliverables across internal teams, customers, vendors and consultants.

Drive alignment between implementation activities and broader organizational goals.

Position Requirements

Requires BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

Proven ability to build, scale, and lead large multi-disciplinary implementation teams across multiple locations.

Extensive experience overseeing large, complex client implementations with a track record of flawless delivery.

Deep knowledge of health insurance operations, including benefit plan setup, enrollment, membership, billing, and compliance.

Strong client-facing skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders and supporting finalist sales presentations.

Demonstrated expertise in process optimization, quality controls, and establishing performance metrics.

Proficiency in data analysis and using insights to drive operational improvements and scalability.

Experience leading change management initiatives and fostering cultures of accountability and continuous improvement.

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to align Sales, Account Management, and Operations.

Solid technical acumen, including familiarity with implementation platforms, system integrations, and onboarding technology.

Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to link implementation performance to enterprise growth objectives.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $154,000 to $254,000
