**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
+ Experience with visual design systems and working with other UX functions, Product Management, and Engineering.

**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 12 years of experience in product design or UX.
+ 4 years of experience leading design projects.
+ 3 years of experience working with executives.
+ Experience implementing high-fidelity animations and understanding of motion design principles.

As a Visual Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. Like all of our UX jobs, you’ll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.

Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000-$265,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. **Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the visual design direction for the AI-powered support surfaces, including our multi-modal AI agent and agent-assistive tools.
+ Develop a comprehensive visual design language and component library for AI-driven support experiences, ensuring consistency, quality, and brand alignment across all touch points.
+ Partner with UX designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to translate complex AI capabilities (like automated troubleshooting and optimization) into visually engaging user interfaces.
+ Advocate for visual craft and execution across the team. Mentor other designers and use the passion for design to inspire and motivate the organization.
+ Conceptualize and prototype novel visual and motion design patterns for conversational UI, data visualization, and agentic interactions that make our AI feel intelligent, transparent, and approachable.
