As the Staff Technical Writer & Labeling Specialist supporting the Stryker Sustainability Solutions (SSS) Business Unit within the Endoscopy Division, you will develop, design, and create product documentation and labels using industry-standard authoring and illustration tools or company-specific software. You will also evaluate medical device labeling to ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations.

This position offers flexibility and can be based hybrid, onsite in Tempe, AZ, or remote.
What you will do:Lead the implementation and administration of labeling systems such as Global Labeling System (GLS), NiceLabel, and Prisym 360, including database management and template design.
Design, develop, and maintain packaging labels, device artwork, and shipping labels that meet regulatory, quality, and business requirements.
Create and maintain a variety of product documentation, including regulatory claims, design specifications, instructions for use, service manuals, training materials, and online help.
Evaluate and revise Original Manufacturer (OM) labeling content, ensuring accuracy and compliance across reprocessed product documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including regulatory, engineering, quality, marketing, and operations—to coordinate labeling requirements.
Manage global labeling content, including translations, and ensure labeling meets international regulations and corporate branding standards.
Lead quality and cost-improvement initiatives including CAPAs and NCs that involve labeling evaluation or redesign.
Analyze labeling processes and implement improvements to enhance quality, reduce support costs, and increase efficiency.
What you need:Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; in English, Technical Writing, Engineering, or equivalent field preferred.
4+ years of experience in technical writing, labeling, project management, regulatory affairs, large data management or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Adobe Suite, and large database management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to grammar and detail.
Experience following product development and quality procedures, performing gap assessments, and driving improvements.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Awareness of or ability to understand XML.
Experience with labeling systems and how they interact with PLMs and ERPs.
Adaptable, motivated self-starter who works independently and is a proactive team player who thrives in changing environments and proactively seeks solutions to challenges.
Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, aerospace, automotive, or similar).
$77,200.00 - $160,800.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
