About the Role:
Matterport seeks an enthusiastic Staff Software Engineer to join our Business Services team. You’ll be responsible for architecting and designing scalable services for the Matterport Platform which serves billions of requests a month. The ideal candidate is an individual who thrives on new challenges, possesses a strong product development and application integration background, comfortable and interested in coding and has a drive to invent.
This position is located in Sunnyvale, CA and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in the office and the option to work from home on Friday.
Responsibilities:
Architect, design, develop, code and deploy API, integration, data pipelines, orchestrated services, micro services for enterprise business services.Provide solutions with the understanding of end-to-end business process flow.Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineersEnsure successful integration of customer-facing platform services and internal systemsProvide solutions to postproduction system issues.Ensure proper monitoring and respond to issues with the live environmentsDuties of the role may change subject to the needs of the business.Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited, not for profit university or college8+ years of IT software development experience.5+ years of experience developing cloud platform integration4+ years of hand-on experience developing services in modern OOP languages such as: Java, Kotlin, Python or .NET Familiarity with UI frameworks like Angular or React3+ years of experience developing enterprise application services with platforms such as but not limited to NetSuite, Oracle ERP or SalesforceStrong problem-solving and debugging skills in all areas of developmentA track record of developing testable and maintainable codeDemonstrated experience building and developing teams in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Track record of commitment to prior employersPreferred Qualifications:
Experience designing and working on complex application implementation in the areas such as order to cash, record to report, hire to retire, procure to payFamiliarity with entities such as Orders, customer master, product, price book, invoice and SaaS subscription.Hands on Experience with Linux, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and GithubFamiliar with Gradle, Docker & Kubernetes, CI/CD SDLC processesWhat’s in it for you?
