Job Description:
**Job Overview**
As an Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer for TE Connectivity you will focus on the embedded firmware, software, and verification-validation testing of high-speed products in cable assemblies targeting high speed communications and connectivity within datacenters and wireless infrastructure. You willbe expected to independently work on projects in the areas of embedded firmware and validation for our high-speed cable products. You will work collaboratively within a broader cross functional team of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, & operations to execute leading edge products designs. You will be the subject matter expert for the embedded and electrical performance of a product/platform.
**Job Requirements**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Subject matter expert in embedded firmware design, testing and validation activities through product development cycles
+ Establishing software design performance/functional requirements for new products
+ Product code development for high-speed cables assemblies from conception to manufacturing
+ Creating actionable recommendations based upon design reviews and simulation results
+ Making data driven decisions about the product functionality and areas for improvement.
**What your background should look like**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Master’s degree preferred
+ Minimum of 10 years of work experience in an embedded engineering role
+ Expert with embedded systems and ANSI C
+ Expert, I2C, SPI, ADC’s, DAC’s, NOR Flash, etc.
+ Expert with GIT version control systems (Gitlab, Github, or Bitbucket)
+ Experience with component selection, schematic review, testing and validation of firmware.
+ Strong analytical capabilities to interpret lab data to identify issues and provide solutions to fix identified problem.
+ Experience in project leadership, especially as it applies across design, development & manufacturing teams
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones, fluent in English (verbal/written), able to collaborate with individuals across geographies
+ Individual must be highly motivated, a quick learner, and able to work independently
**Nice to have skills/ experience**
+ Familiarity with the CMIS (Common Management Interface Specification)
+ Familiarity with SFF/IEEE specifications for high-speed cable assemblies
+ Familiarity with STM32 micro controllers
+ Familiarity with requirements-based design and validation
+ Familiarity with AGILE methodologies
+ Familiarity with data center topology, switches, NIC’s, cables (AEC, AOC, ACC, DAC)
+ Familiarity with Python, C#, V.B.
+ Six Sigma methodologies or other strong data analytics background a PLUS

**COMPENSATION**
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $156,000 - $205,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
