Job Description
What you get to do
Lead the development of Guidewire’s multi-tenant cloud platform that supports all Guidewire applications and services.

Drive the design and development of ATMOS, our infrastructure platform as a product - built using Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and in the CNCF ecosystem, including platform observability (logs, metrics, traces).
Design and build core platform services that support developer experience, authentication, authorization, and platform lifecycle automation using Java, Spring Boot, Golang, or equivalent.
Engineer quality, scalability, availability, and security into every aspect of the platform.
Employ TDD and automated testing practices to ensure reliability and repeatability.
Deploy containerized applications to AWS using modern CI/CD pipelines.
Work closely with highly skilled engineers, product managers, architects, and operations teams in a pair programming culture to deliver infrastructure and software that matters.
Mentor engineers, influence architectural direction, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Apply AI and data-driven insights to enhance engineering workflows, productivity, and platform capabilities
What you bring to Guidewire
10+ years of experience in SaaS/PaaS environments supporting large-scale enterprise systems.
Strong programming skills in Java/Spring Boot ecosystem, Golang or equivalent.
Strong design, architecture and hands-on experience with Platform Engineering including
Container technologies (Docker or equivalent) in a large-scale cloud environment.
Strong proficiency with Kubernetes eco-system on Public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure or equivalent) and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible or equivalent
A team-first mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning.
Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your engineering workflow.
Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced, collaborative, pairing-oriented environment.
What you should know about this role
This is a hybrid position requiring 50% of office presence

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $169,000 - $253,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.Disability Accommodations and Guidewire’s Appeals Process.
