Staff/Senior Tax Analyst
Full Time / On-Site
The Staff/Senior Tax Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Company’s income tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions across various domestic subsidiaries, including partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations. This position will collaborate closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting, timely filings, and adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to special projects, perform technical tax research, and support process improvements within the tax department. Additionally, the Senior Income Tax Analyst will be responsible for reconciling tax-related general ledger accounts and ensuring the integrity of tax data across systems.
Responsibilities Tax Compliance & ReportingPrepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns for assigned legal entities.Prepare and review quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extension calculations.Prepare and analyze provision‑to‑return adjustments and support the Company’s tax compliance calendar.Support the quarterly and annual corporate income tax provision process in accordance with US GAAP, ASC 740, and applicable SEC reporting requirements.Fixed Assets & General LedgerPrepare and review annual fixed asset rollforwards for assigned entities.Reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger and ensure accurate tax depreciation calculations and reporting.Identify and research discrepancies, ensuring proper documentation and adjustments.Tax Research, Legislative Updates & ControversyMonitor changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation and assess potential impacts to the Company.Conduct technical tax research using RIA Checkpoint or similar research tools, providing written summaries and recommendations.Investigate, document, and respond to income tax notices from taxing authorities.Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits, including data collection, issue analysis, and crafting responses.Additional ResponsibilitiesAssist in special projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives within the tax function.Support internal controls, documentation, and SOX compliance as required.Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Accounting, and other internal teams.Qualifications Required:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or advanced degree strongly preferred).1–5 years of relevant income tax experience (public accounting and/or large corporate tax department experience a plus).Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with proven analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet internal and external deadlines independently.Solid understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax rules and corporate tax compliance processes.

Experience with tax processes, systems, and software, such as:Microsoft Office SuiteCorptax (Compliance / Provision)BNA Fixed AssetsWorking knowledge of income tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740.Familiarity with tax technology tools and interest in process enhancement.
