Staff Psychotherapist - Student Health and Wellness (Staff Wage)

The University of Virginia's Department of Student Health, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is seeking to hire a part-time mental health professional for the position of Staff Psychotherapist. This position will provide triage assessment, diagnostic and developmental evaluations, brief treatment (individual, couple or group therapy), referral assistance, and crisis intervention. The position may also provide supervision and some outreach programming.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters or Doctorate in psychology, social work, counseling or related fieldA minimum of 3 years of experience providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents or adultsA minimum of 1 year of experience with risk assessment and crisis interventionExperience coordinating care with psychiatrists and/or other medical professionalsCurrent licensure in a mental health discipline (Psychologist, LPC, LCSW) in the State of Virginia
 

Position Compensation Range:  $40.00 - $45.50 hourly (commensurate with experience)
