DoorDash’s mission is to grow and empower local economies—and we believe that connecting people through shared experiences is a powerful way to do just that. The Social Products team is an early-stage group within our Core Consumer Design Team focused on building an inspiring and authentic new platform from the ground up.
Our goal is to help customers discover the best of their communities through trusted recommendations, rich content, and human connection—all within the DoorDash ecosystem. We’re looking for ambitious builders and design leaders who are excited by ambiguity and passionate about bringing novel consumer experiences to life at scale.
About the RoleWe’re seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead the end-to-end design of our emerging social platform. You will play a foundational role in shaping the product’s vision, experience, and identity from the ground up. This role offers a rare opportunity to work on a 0→1 initiative inside a scaled, mission-driven company with deep customer reach and strong cross-functional backing.
You will own the full design lifecycle —from early vision and strategic framing, to crafting elegant interactions and delivering polished, high-quality work. You’ll bring clarity to ambiguity, drive alignment across stakeholders, and raise the bar for product craft. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and research to prototype, iterate, and learn rapidly in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
This position is open to candidates in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City, and reports to the Head of Social Design. We follow a hybrid model, working in-office 1–2 times per week.

We're excited about you because… You are a Staff-level designer with 8+ years of experience and a portfolio that showcases exceptional consumer-facing work across mobile and web.
