Diagnoses and classifies leukemias, lymphomas, and other related malignant and benign processes via microscopic review of morphology combined with interpretation and integration of multi-modal high complexity ancillary diagnostic tests. Identifies etiology, pathogenesis, morphological change, and clinical significance of hematological diseases; writes pathology reports summarizing analyses, results, and conclusions; and communicates findings to treating physicians. Weekday and weekend phone call responsibilities and periodic weekend hours as needed. Position requires a MD, DO, or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate; Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology; Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Hematopathology; and eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.
