AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The Workforce Planning and Talent Insights Lead will drive strategic workforce planning globally across AMD and deliver actionable insights on global talent markets. This dual-focused role combines external labor market intelligence with internal workforce analytics to inform AMD’s talent strategies, location decisions, and long-term planning. The ideal candidate will be a proactive collaborator, skilled in vendor management, data storytelling, and cross-functional partnership. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the annual workforce planning cycle, including forecasting and talent gap analysis Develop and maintain workforce models aligned with business forecasts and organizational changes Collaborate with business units to ensure consistency and accuracy in workforce data submissions Partner with Chief of Staffs, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Strategy teams to align insights with organizational goals Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership Utilize talent intelligence platforms to analyze external labor market trends, talent availability, and location strategies Act as a subject matter expert for Draup and other talent intelligence tools Identify emerging skills, roles, and geographies to inform strategic workforce decisions Conduct deep-dive analyses on talent pools, location trends, and workforce dynamics Produce regular insights reports and dashboards for leadership and HR partners Develop workforce planning and talent insights training materials, templates, and best practices for internal stakeholders Maintain internal knowledge-sharing platforms to ensure accessibility of insights Support strategic initiatives such as skills-based planning and location strategy assessments Demonstrate advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, modeling, and reporting Create compelling visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau to support data storytelling Connect business problems with data-driven solutions through analytical thinking and strategic insight PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, Economics, or related field; master’s preferred. Experience in workforce planning, talent analytics, or labor market research. Strong project management and vendor coordination skills. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and workforce planning platforms. Experience with Draup, LinkedIn Talent Insights, and SAP HR systems. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
