Staff Manufacturing Engineer
Work Flexibility: Onsite

Position Summary:
As a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide engineering support to manufacturing processes, projects, and functions. You will evaluate manufacturing outcomes, identify opportunities, and implement continuous improvements and cost efficiencies. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the introduction of new products, equipment, and processes onto the manufacturing floor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide engineering support for the Stryker Robotics manufacturing process (Mako) by prescribing rework, quarantining nonconforming components and assemblies, and supporting root cause investigations.

Lead and support the investigation and resolution of Nonconformances (NCs), ensuring timely completion, documentation, and effective containment.

Participate in and drive Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, including problem-solving, risk assessment, and implementation of sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.

Support production troubleshooting, evaluate manufacturing outcomes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead and support manufacturing equipment qualifications and process validations.

Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

Provide data-driven manufacturing decision support by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; and estimating future requirements.

Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, conducting capability studies, and confirming manufacturing processes meet specifications.

Identify and implement ergonomic improvements and relevant manufacturing technologies.

Create, write, and revise work instructions and manufacturing procedures.

Conduct measurement system analysis including gauge R&R and capability studies using Minitab.

Perform mechanical design work of basic to high complexity using SolidWorks.

Interpret and revise engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering

4 or more years of experience

Preferred Skills:

Experience owning lean initiatives and certifications

Proficient in working NCs and CAPAs to completion

Power BI

Medical Device or regulated industry

Travel Percentage: 10%
