Job Description

ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and operate cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD methodologiesExert technical influence to improve the reliability and performance of our products and systemsAssist Product Engineering teams in building out infrastructure for prototypes and other Research & Development effortsOperate development and high-availability production environments in Amazon Web ServicesCoach and mentor other engineers and teams on cloud best practicesWork collaboratively with other staff including product managers, data scientists, other data analysts, architects to solve problems, develop innovative approaches, and provide project statusAt Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.

QualificationsBA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry technical skills5+ years of work experience in a SaaS production environment, ideally EnterpriseExperience in building scalable platform software using Kubernetes, Docker, and other Cloud native technologiesStrong experience using public cloud providers, preferably AWSStrong understanding of networking and security fundamentalsComfort with Linux system administration and scripting, e.g. Python, ShellExperience with designing, analyzing and solving problems for large-scale distributed systemsDemonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Preferred QualificationsStrong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts and architectures across a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.Experience working with globally distributed teams, with an emphasis on strong written communication for asynchronous collaborationExperience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data/ai/ml pipelines for reliability and performanceExposure to Predictive Models and ML training & Serving systems The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000 - $250,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
