As a Staff Engineer in R&D, you’ll lead the design and development of life-changing devices that directly impact patient outcomes. You will need to be in the office 5 days a week. **What You Will Do** + Design, develop, and test components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision + Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system-level solutions + Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance + Identify and resolve complex design issues using sound engineering judgment + Apply clinical knowledge to support Voice of Customer sessions + Ensure compliance with industry standards and mentor others in design control practices + Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files + Collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through launch **What You Will Need** **_Required Qualifications_** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field) + Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience + Proven hands-on experience in injection molding processes is essential + Practical experience with design controls, particularly in developing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) + Strong knowledge of test method development and execution of Design Verification (DV) activities **_Preferred Qualifications_** + Experience in developing technical specifications for products or processes + Background in manufacturing environments and design for manufacturing practices + Prior experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is highly preferred, including hands-on experience in pre-clinical or human clinical settings $87,600 - $186,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
