Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Staff Electrical Engineer to join a large utility company. This position will help modernize and improve how electricity is delivered to homes and businesses, especially as more people use solar panels, electric cars, and other new energy technologies. This role is all about helping the power grid become smarter and more flexible. This position will be working with DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management System), that helps manage all the small energy sources (like rooftop solar panels or batteries) that are popping up everywhere. You’d also be part of a big project called GRID-FLEXER, which is testing how to run the grid when lots of these new energy sources are connected. Your job would include:  • Helping design and build new tools that let the grid use energy more efficiently.  • Working with other engineers and teams to make sure everything runs smoothly.  • Figuring out how to use customer energy use (like when people charge their EVs) to help balance the grid.  • Making sure all the systems (like maps of the grid and control centers) talk to each other properly.
