Staff Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for: - a related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience - Knowledge of project management methodologies - 7+ years of experience What is the work? - Expert Domain expertise - subject matter expert on business processes in the required domain - Contributes to stakeholder discussions; Manages & documents requirements and peer reviews others' requirement documents. - Ensures Product Management and business stakeholders understand impacts of requests on the project, associated applications, and other business units. - Manages scope, communicates scope changes to stakeholders timely and influences change impact discussions/decisions. - Owns, facilitates, develops requirements and user stories so they are readily consumable by engineers. - Develops and manages to identify business process development opportunities. - Research existing systems (internal and external as needed) to understand their features with effective analysis of application data and outputs like reports and conducting relevant cross functional discussions. - Influences Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process refinement assists in project execution as per SDLC methodology. - Contributes to the development of best practices for documentation and training on testing, data, and process analysis across Digital. Facilitates the training to end users if needed. - Creates communication, training, and implementation plans to address people, process, and technology changes at the department and enterprise level. Testing / Quality Assurance: - Develops / Manages an end-to-end Quality Strategy, setting standards for excellence, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with business goals across projects. - Develops / Manages functional test cases to ensure software functionality meets specified requirements. Focuses on detailed test case creation for individual features, contributing to the overall quality assurance process. - Creates non-functional test cases that will ensure all requirements/user stories are validated with system testing. - Plans and executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing to ensure that software meets the outlined requirements. This role focuses on the hands-on execution of tests to verify software functionality and performance against specified criteria. - Creates and manages test automation plan. Contributes to automation framework definition, test automation tool selection and resource upskilling (as needed). Works with testing tools and/or frameworks to create automated testing suites for one or more systems, demonstrating proficiency and the ability to contribute effectively to the testing process. Technology / Data: - Gathers high level and detail requirements and collaboratively author detailed functional and non-functional requirements, design specifications and validation documents. - Works with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and systems to drive business process improvements, system automation, continuous improvement, and other duties associated with multiple sites production support. - Engages in defining solution options and in recommending best course of action. - Analyzes business problems to be solved with automated systems; identifies gaps; provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications; scales new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner. - Configures system settings and options to optimize performance and functionality according to project requirements. - Involves understanding the technical requirements and applying configurations to meet specific operational needs. - Engages with engineers in debugging / troubleshooting issues involving data or the accuracy of data, in day-to-day work and production support scenarios. - Proficient in data and functionality of multiple systems across the department, understanding the integration points and data flows between them. - Understand data mapping between systems and oversee projects that involve data integrations. Also, familiar with SOAP and REST API integrations. - Proficient in validating data and understand how it flows end-to-end for a product or group of closely aligned product(s) Leadership: - Publishes internal whitepapers. - Participates in industry level discussions; speaks at conferences outside of H-E-B (with leadership approval) - Leads the RFP process with vendors to include discussions and working sessions on H-E-B requirements and vetting vendors during the selection process. What is your background? - A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience - 7+ years of experience - Experience in business analysis or technology - Experience supporting relevant business area preferred (i.e., retail, supply chain, ecommerce, or digital marketing ops) - Experience successfully working in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
