We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis to provide maternity‑leave coverage. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month‑end close process, and managing corporate credit card activity. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, Excel‑savvy, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post general ledger entries on a weekly and monthly basis, including accounts receivable, cash activity, and corporate credit card transactionsReconcile and post AMEX statement activity with accurate general ledger codingSupport the month‑end close process and ensure all reporting deadlines are metProcess daily house account transactions across multiple locationsPerform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accountsAdminister the corporate credit card platform, including adding/removing cards and adjusting limits with approvalAssist with ad‑hoc reporting and financial analyses as requested by the businessQualificationsStrong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPBroad accounting knowledge with hands‑on general ledger experienceProven ability to manage a high‑volume workload in a fast‑paced settingStrong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skillsExperience with journal entries, month‑end close, accounts receivable, cash application, and bank reconciliationsPreferred ExperienceExperience administering corporate credit card platforms, including limits and controlsExposure to house accounts or multi‑location transaction processingExperience supporting ad‑hoc financial analysis for internal stakeholdersBackground in shared services or multi‑entity environmentsComfort documenting, improving, or standardizing accounting processes and controlsWork Environment
This is an on‑site position based in New York, NY. The environment is fast‑paced and data‑driven, requiring strong attention to detail and efficiency when working with large data sets.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
