Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is essential in processing and reconciling financial transactions, assisting in month-end closing processes, and managing corporate credit card accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

ResponsibilitiesPost general ledger entries on a weekly and monthly basis to process transactions, including accounts receivable, cash transactions, and corporate credit card transactions.Reconcile and post AMEX statement transactions with proper general ledger coding.Assist in the month-end close process and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines.Process house account transactions as needed on a daily basis from various locations.Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned bank accounts.Manage the corporate credit card platform, including adjusting limits after approval and adding or removing cards.Assist with the preparation of various ad-hoc analyses as needed by the business.Essential SkillsAbility to work as part of a team with superior organizational skills.Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.Broad accounting experience.Exceptional ability to handle a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.Aptitude for numbers with strong quantitative and analytical skills.Strong problem-solving skills with sound accounting judgment.Experience in general ledger, month-end processes, journal entries, accounts receivable, cash application, and bank reconciliation.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience managing or administering corporate credit card platforms, including limits and controls.Exposure to house account or multi-location transaction processing.Experience supporting ad-hoc financial analysis for business partners.Prior work experience in a shared services or multi-entity environment.Comfort with improving or documenting processes and controls.Work Environment

This position is based on-site at Suite 500, New York, New York, United States. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to handle large data sets efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
