The Staff Accountant will ensure proper preparation, processing, and handling of monthly general ledger records, related information, and procedures in support of company policies and governmental rules and regulations. This position will also assist and support all departments and locations in related tasks, input, and maintain the accuracy of all general ledger records in the company’s electronic database.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare, input, and process recurring journal entries and assist in or prepare non-recurring journal entries and other information required for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple companies.Prepare related reports and schedules, general ledger account reconciliations, and account analysis.Review financial reports for accuracy and legal compliance.Complete the quarterly Coordinated Care Organizations (CCO) reporting packages within established deadlines.Prepare and maintain transactions and financial reporting for various small financial affiliated entities.Create business efficiencies and quality improvements in the accounting function.Foster a culture of accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.Prepare and update financial records of fixed assets and leases.Prepare and file tax returns, including unclaimed property business, individual, and real property, city, local, and various tax filings.Research accountancy activity as needed, prepare related reports and schedules, and perform closing procedures.Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of department efficiencies and financial systems.Develop and maintain up-to-date desk procedures.Essential Skills3 - 5+ years of operational accounting experienceExperience with multi-entity accountingExperience in fixed asset and lease accountingProficiency in month-end close processesBachelor’s degree in accountingMS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPExperience in financial reporting and accounts reconciliationAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with MS Dynamic 365 Business CentralKnowledge of ASC 606, 842Sales and use tax experienceExperience in the healthcare industryWork EnvironmentThis is a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote after training. During training, expect to be in the office 4-5 days a week. This role covers for maternity leave until the end of January 2027.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $43.26/hr.
