Staff Accountant
**Description** **The Best Teams are Created and Maintained Here.** **Job Summary** + The Staff Accountant assists the team in maintaining financial records, performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close-related tasks, and adhering to compliance standards. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Process monthly balance sheet account reconciliations + Prepare and enter monthly journal entries in accordance with company policies + Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions + Provide audit support to internal/external auditors and the corporate tax team + Identify areas of process improvement and lead implementation of process changes + Assist branches and other cross-functional teams with accounting-related questions + Support regional finance leaders and market controllers as their centralized accounting team + Support project and job-level margin analyses **Education and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + 1 to 2 years of relevant staff accounting experience preferred + Experience with percentage-complete or construction accounting preferred + Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in fast-paced environment + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Precise, deadline-driven team member with strong organizational and project management skills + Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); JDE or Oracle experience + A team player and supportive business partner attitude **Physical Demands/Requirements:** + Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers. + Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the time + Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence **Work Environment:** + Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting, and requires in-person presence **_BrightView Landscapes, LLC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer._** **_This job description is subject to change at any time._** **_BrightView offers a suite or health, wellness, and financial benefits to full-time team members.
