Description
Robert Half Finance is seeking a Staff Accountant for a reputable client in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This role will focus on maintaining the general ledger and supporting the month-end close process, while also providing assistance to accounts payable and receivable functions as needed. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and reconcile the general ledger, including the preparation and posting of journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities by preparing schedules and analyses.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Assist in the creation of financial statements and internal management reports to align with organizational standards.
• Work collaboratively with accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure smooth and accurate transaction processing.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unusual transactions by recommending appropriate solutions.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for audits while addressing auditor inquiries.
• Aid in budgeting and forecasting processes to support organizational financial planning.
• Ensure all accounting practices comply with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of comprehensive accounting experience as a Staff Accountant.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and general accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
• Skilled in managing journal entries and maintaining accurate general ledger records.
