Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting tax compliance, and contributing to month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining precision in all accounting processes. Responsibilities: • Verify and review account records to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. • Prepare and submit sales tax and organizational tax returns in a timely manner. • Monitor and manage general ledger accounts to maintain up-to-date financial data. • Perform analysis and reconciliation of bank statements to ensure proper documentation. • Process and manage expense reports using Concur systems. • Maintain and update customer exemption certificates to ensure compliance. • Record journal entries and execute account reconciliations during month-end close. • Support property tax processes and ensure accurate reporting. • Collaborate with team members on additional accounting tasks as needed. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related • 3+ years of Accounting experience • Proficiency in handling sales tax and use tax processes. • Experience in recording journal entries and performing account reconciliations. • Familiarity with general ledger management and month-end close procedures. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
