Staff Accountant
Job Title: Staff AccountantJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to oversee month-end close activities, complete journal entries, and manage monthly reporting. The role involves account reconciliations, audit assistance, preparing freight accounting schedules, processing invoices, and managing credit card programs. As a key resource in our new ERP launch, you will perform other duties as assigned and contribute to a seamless financial operation. Responsibilities + Conduct month-end close activities. + Complete and verify journal entries. + Prepare and manage monthly reporting. + Perform account reconciliations accurately. + Assist in audits and ensure compliance. + Prepare freight accounting schedules and entries. + Process invoices from suppliers efficiently. + Manage credit card program for card users through the bank and ERP system. + Serve as a key resource in the new ERP launch. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential SkilOur Client + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. + Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to meet deadlines with accurate and complete information. + Knowledge of accounting principles. + Strong analytical skills. Additional SkilOur Client & Qualifications + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. + Experience in ERP systems. + 2 years’ experience in accounting or a related field. + CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CPA candidate is a plus. Work Environment The position is based in-office, Monday through Friday. The role requires working with various accounting software and ERP systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
