Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Manage general ledger entries to ensure the accuracy of financial records. • Perform comprehensive month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and analysis. • Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts and activities. • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and balances. • Analyze inventory accounting to support manufacturing operations. • Utilize Excel for data analysis, including creating pivot tables and applying advanced formulas such as XLookups and VLookups. • Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting and month-end close processes. • At least 4 years of overall accounting experience. • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and inventory accounting is strongly preferred. • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, XLookups, and VLookups. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed financial analyses. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Demonstrated eagerness to grow and develop professionally within the accounting field.
