Description About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team at an exclusive, members-only country club. This role supports the full cycle accounting function with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative, service-oriented environment and takes pride in producing precise and timely financial information. Key Responsibilities + Perform full cycle accounting, including daily transactional posting, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. + Execute month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to timelines. + Prepare ad hoc financial reports for leadership, department heads, and board committees. + Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed. + Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, streamline workflows, and enhance financial controls. + Assist with annual audits and other regulatory or compliance-related tasks. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the club (operations, F& B, events, etc.) to ensure accurate financial reporting and support decision-making. + Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to internal policies and best practices. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience, including hands-on month-end close responsibilities. + Strong understanding of GAAP principles. + Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. + Proven experience improving or optimizing accounting processes. + Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. + Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a supportive team environment. + Professionalism, confidentiality, and a high level of integrity.
