Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Edina, Minnesota. In this role, you will manage essential accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with expertise in accounting practices and a strong aptitude for problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded. • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining precision and compliance. • Process real estate closings for the Minnesota market and manage batch transactions. • Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet accounts. • Assist in financial reviews and provide detailed reports on pending transactions. • Manage contracts and insurance policies, ensuring compliance and record accuracy. • Identify and implement best practices to improve accounting processes. • Collaborate with managers and departments to support various ad-hoc projects. • Handle human resources tasks, including onboarding, terminations, employee file management, and payroll administration. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts receivable and real estate brokerages. • Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and corporate real estate accounting. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Experience in managing diverse responsibilities within a small business setting.
