Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. You will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. • Prepare and file sales tax reports in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. • Generate and review distribution reports to support financial analysis and decision-making. • Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage financial data and processes. • Support cleanup and organization of financial records to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices. • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and other reports as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger and journal entries. • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel • Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reconciliations. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
