Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Merriam, Kansas. In this role, you will manage a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures. Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries to ensure proper financial reporting. • Oversee month-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to verify account accuracy. • Analyze accounts and financial transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and summary reports. • Ensure compliance with use tax regulations and process related documentation. • Support internal audits and provide necessary documentation for review. Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and performing reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Ability to prepare consolidated financial statements and analyze account data. • Experience with use tax compliance and related processes. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
