Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will contribute significantly to our financial operations by managing accounting processes, analyzing financial trends, and collaborating with leadership to enhance decision-making. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end closing activities for assigned locations, including preparing reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and deferrals. • Compile financial statements and shop-level financial reports for leadership review. • Examine financial trends, variances, and cost drivers to support business decision-making. • Maintain and update fixed asset schedules, ensuring proper capitalization and accuracy. • Review accounts payable and receivable postings, cash applications, and expense classifications for correctness. • Collaborate with General Managers and Regional Managers to provide actionable insights based on financial data. • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and implement improvements.
