Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will manage a variety of financial activities, including reconciliations and cash management, to ensure the accuracy of our accounting records. Responsibilities: • Perform daily cash posting and ensure accurate recording of incoming funds. • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies. • Handle account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data. • Prepare and review journal entries to support monthly and quarterly accounting processes. • Maintain the general ledger by updating and verifying financial transactions. • Assist in corporate tax activities, including preparing and reviewing tax returns. • Manage sales tax reporting and compliance to ensure adherence to regulations. • Support overall financial operations by providing timely and accurate reporting. • Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related inquiries and issues. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least one year of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliations and cash management. • Proficiency in performing bank and account reconciliations. • Strong understanding of general ledger and journal entry processes. • Knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax regulations. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments. • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
