We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing general ledger accounting, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with audits as needed.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.Reconcile general ledger accounts.Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Calculate and record accruals for property and sales tax.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.Assist with tax filings and audits as needed.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.Monitor aging reports and ensure timely collections.Support AP/AR month-end close processes.Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analysis as requested.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting.3+ years of professional accounting experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Ability to work under time constraints with a large and diverse group of internal customers.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple processes and projects under tight deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Hyperion and SAP is a plus.Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.Occasional local travel may be required.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in an office environment, with standard hours from 8 am to 5 pm, along with additional hours as needed. The team consists of four senior accountants, four plant controllers (each overseeing a business unit), and two staff members. Plant Controllers report to the Finance Manager, while Staff, Seniors, and the Accounting Manager report to the Director of Accounting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.
