Staff Accountant
Description We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team in Madison, Georgia. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Responsibilities: • Monitor daily checking account activity to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly. • Process incoming bills and invoices regularly, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors. • Manage weekly bill payments, adhering to established schedules and protocols. • Oversee cash flow by tracking incoming and outgoing funds to maintain financial stability. • Handle payroll processing twice a month, ensuring calculations and disbursements are accurate. • Provide support to team members by addressing inquiries and offering accounting guidance. • Perform journal entries and postings to maintain accurate financial records. • Identify and resolve accounting issues to uphold financial integrity. • Assist with general office tasks, including inventory management for various departments. • Contribute to employee development initiatives and participate in annual reviews to support organizational growth. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software such as AppFolio and QuickBooks. • Strong knowledge of billing, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Experience with automated payroll systems and accurate payroll processing. • Ability to analyze and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors. • Advanced accounting expertise and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial records. • Familiarity with general office management and inventory control processes.
