Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-accountable Staff Accountant to join our US-based finance team. This role supports the operational and financial integrity of our nonprofit entity, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and managing high-volume data reconciliation. You’ll work closely with operations, finance, and government affairs teams to support global donation flows and payout processes. Key Responsibilities - Reconcile high-volume donation data across multiple platforms (Meta, GoFundMe, etc.) - Support monthly consolidation and payout tracking to charities via API integrations - Ensure compliance with new California regulation 84844 and other nonprofit standards - Collaborate with global finance teams (US and UK) and stakeholders in operations and government affairs - Maintain nonprofit status and ensure donor contributions remain tax-deductible - Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting - Provide backup coverage for team members on sabbatical We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - Strong attention to detail and accountability - Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data reconciliation) - Experience downloading and analyzing large datasets - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems - Experience with SAP S/4HANA (cloud version) - Exposure to AI tools for financial analysis - Background in FinTech or nonprofit accounting - Familiarity with risk or government affairs
