Job Description:

For more than 150 years, Vulcan has been recognized by chefs and operators throughout the world for its top-quality, energy efficient commercial cooking equipment. Our equipment is found in busy kitchens nationwide; target segments include large chain restaurants, emerging/regional chains, independent restaurants, K-12 schools, grocery and hotels/recreation.

Scope

This position helps with supporting the accounting requirements of our Range, Oven, and Heated Holding departments that are based out of our Baltimore, MD Plant.

Responsibilities

Assist with the monthly financial reporting needs of our Baltimore based Business unitsProcesses and reviews system inventory backflush transactionsAssists with processing our Accounts Payable transactionsAnalyze and post weekly Concur transactions to the GLBack-up for payment processing for checks, wires/ACHCalculates and enters monthly journal entries, and reconciles balance sheet accountsAssists with our physical inventory, and cost roll processes at the Baltimore plantAssists with reviewing and uploading vendor price changesAssists with monthly inflation trackingPerform month-end closing procedures and reportingEngage in assigned projects focusing on continuous improvement by applying key 80/20, PLS, and USa principles and techniques. Make process improvement efficiency recommendations and drive the use of the ITW toolbox

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with an emphasis in Accounting requiredMinimum 1-3 year accounting experience in related field, audit experience a plusHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent data entry, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCapable of working independently and managing to deadlinesAble to be diversified, to multi-task, and to prioritizeMust be proficient in MS Office Suite with highly advanced Excel skills including the ability to create and edit pivot tables, charts and graphs.Knowledge of US GAAP reporting and experience in their application

Work Environment

Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for duration of 8 hoursIn office, manufacturing plantMonday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, some flexibility in set hours allowable

Compensation Information:

$65,120-85,000
