Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a West Allis, Wisconsin area organization. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Manage and reconcile the general ledger to ensure precise accounting data. • Oversee accounts payable processes, including timely invoice handling and payment. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, ensuring proper invoicing and collections. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to meet reporting deadlines. • Collaborate with other departments to support financial reporting and analysis. • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions. • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Requirements • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management. • Experience in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools. • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
