Description Our client is a growing, dynamic company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys digging into the details, and takes pride in producing accurate, timely financial results that help drive business success. Key Responsibilities: + Perform general accounting functions and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies. + Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, receivables, payables, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, deferred costs, and deferred revenue. + Post journal entries and ensure general ledger accounts are accurate and up to date. + Reconcile bank accounts daily and finalize monthly reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are posted accurately and completely. + Conduct detailed daily job cost reviews to ensure jobs are closed accurately, timely, and supported with required documentation. + Meet all deadlines for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. + Review and analyze monthly financial statement flux variances for completeness and accuracy. + Support external audits by gathering requested documentation and account details. + Prepare tax forms and compile data for external tax preparers as assigned. + Stay current on accounting standards, practices, and procedures. + Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. + 0-2 years of accounting experience (industry-specific experience a plus). + Solid understanding of GAAP and general/cost accounting principles. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. + Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software preferred. + Strong verbal and written communication skills.
