Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves managing various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. If you have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for numbers, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices and recurring monthly payments to ensure timely and accurate accounts payable operations.
• Manage expense reimbursements and reconcile vendor statements while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Prepare and process invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable management.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and bank accounts, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and precise.
• Collaborate with project managers by providing updates on aged accounts receivable and outstanding balances.
• Post adjusting journal entries, allocate intercompany expenses, and assist in preparing financial statements.
• Generate reports and manipulate spreadsheets to support various accounting analyses and decision-making.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards.
• Handle administrative accounting tasks, including intercompany journal entries and reconciliation processes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and vendors to support financial operations. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years technical education and three years of accounting experience, or five years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and handle high volumes of transactions.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and general accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• High ethical standards and alignment with the company’s core values.
