Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This role offers the chance to work in a hybrid environment while playing a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles and a passion for maintaining precise financial records. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. • Complete bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements. • Execute month-end close procedures, including preparing and recording journal entries. • Handle payroll tasks to guarantee timely and accurate compensation for employees. • Maintain the general ledger to ensure it reflects up-to-date and accurate financial information. • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks to manage key accounting functions. • Oversee customer accounts, addressing and resolving discrepancies or issues as they arise. • Support the upkeep of customer credit records, ensuring they are accurate and current. Requirements • Proficiency in managing sales tax and corporate tax returns. • Experience in preparing journal entries and maintaining a general ledger. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Expertise in account and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies.
